Accounts Assistant - Temporary

Reference: JD054

The Finance department are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them for twelve months and support the team in meeting accounts deadlines.

Principal Responsibilities

Maintenance of the Purchase/Sales Ledger:

  • Process (register, code, input) invoices and credit notes in a timely manner
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Preparation of creditor payment runs
  • Processing of employee expenses
  • Administration of petty cash
  • Credit control

Other duties

  • Maintenance of fixed asset register when required
  • Supply/reconcile foreign currency for overseas visits
  • Check and input employee timesheets
  • Posting costs and revenues to job costing system
  • Respond to queries on accounts in a timely and professional manner 
  • Assist with external year-end credit

An AAT qualification is desirable, along with experience in an accounting department.
