ABOUT THE ROLE
The developers in our team are responsible for the creation of innovative solutions for worldwide clients, working independently and as part of larger teams. The systems deployed typically utilise core sub-systems and products from the rFpro product portfolio with configuration- and project-specific developments.
The Agile Tester will work as part of one of our Scrum teams to deliver new features for our growing list of customers. Our multi-disciplinary engineers are working on complex real-time simulation software consisting of C++, C#, Matlab and Python code. You will be bringing your experience of sprint testing, automation testing, and customer-facing acceptance testing as we migrate from on-premises systems to cloud hosted solutions You will guide the development in the art of agile software testing and be responsible for performing and organising software testing within the Scrum team. You will be able to investigate software defects and debug software of major scale and complexity and provide any required support to the team regarding testing and QA.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of testing professional software.
- Confidence organising software testing within the Scrum team.
- Ability to debug software products using systematic tests.
- Technical skills to develop and implement automated tests, creating and maintaining a suite of regression tests.
- Knowledge of common software engineering tools such as SVN, Git, Docker, Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders, with strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Exposure to the automotive and/or motorsport sectors.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Understanding of DevOps and the software development lifecycle
This role is flexible in terms of location. We have offices in Hampshire (Romsey) and Wiltshire (Bradford-on-Avon) in the UK as well as in Germany, USA and Japan. We are also happy for staff to work remotely or to blend home and office-working. We offer a highly competitive benefits package.
