Robot Mechanical Assembly Technician

Reference: JD043

We require a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble robot systems and their ancillaries.

The successful candidate will work to the correct engineering drawings and specifications. Assemblies are to be completed on time and to the expected quality standard. The candidate will be able to identify potential issues and implement corrective action to eliminate any re-occurrence.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly of robots and their ancillaries
  • Assemble products to a high standard and to projected completion dates
  • Work with and help train staff within the department 
  • Operate in a clean, tidy and organised workshop environment

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • An engineering background
  • Proven experience with a small production and/or assembly team
  • Mechanical component assembly experience
  • Ability to perform quality inspection
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Access etc)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to procedures and guidelines
  • Good Microsoft 365 skills

Desirable:

  • An automotive engineering background 
  • Milling and turning experience
  • Quality Assurance – ISO 9001
  • Problem solving and corrective action skills 
  • Continuous improvement techniques
