Vehicle Dynamics International magazine has announced the winners of its annual awards for 2013. ABD is a previous winner of the award for Development Tool of the Year and features once again in the winning entry.
Continental's Automated Indoor Braking Analyser (AIBA) uses a number of ABD BR1000 brake robots and was described as a "runaway winner ... that could change the face of tire development". The AIBA is a fully-automated indoor tyre-testing laboratory where cars are propelled at up to 120kph on a range of road surfaces before the brakes are applied by the brake robot.
ABD would like to congratulate Continental of the success of this project and is proud to be playing a part in this exciting facility.
ABD was also highly commended in the Supplier of the Year award, which was won by Magneti Marelli Suspension Systems.
