ADAC buys ABD robots for AEB testing

Adac Buys Abd Robots Aeb

Europe's largest automobile club has taken delivery of a new robot system from ABD which will be used for Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) testing. ADAC, a core member of EuroNCAP, will be using the SR15 steering robot and CBAR combined pedal robot as key equipment for this major new area of NCAP testing.

ABD robots enable a vehicle to be driven along a pre-defined path with highly accurate control of lateral position and speed. Precise deceleration can be commanded to meet the specification of the EuroNCAP AEB procedure.

ABD has now supplied robots to almost all of the EuroNCAP test partners, including Thatcham, IDIADA, UTAC, TNO, CSI and ADAC. Our SR60 and Torus robots have been extensively used in EuroNCAP stability control testing and now ABD is pleased to be playing a central role in AEB assessment.
