Professor Pim van der Jagt joins AB Dynamics Europe GmbH as Technical Director

AB Dynamics Europe GmbH is delighted to announce that they have appointed Professor Pim van der Jagt as Technical Director to join their office in Wetzlar, Germany

Pim has over 30 years' experience within the automotive industry including 22 years at the Ford Research and Innovation Center in Aachen, Germany where he held various senior management positions in the areas of Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis Engineering and Driver Assist - Active Safety Systems. Prior to this he worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he studied tyre-vehicle interaction by means of computer simulation and instrumented vehicle testing.

Pim has a longstanding relationship with AB Dynamics; beginning with his involvement in Goodyear's purchase of the Suspension Parameter Measurement Machine (SPMM) in 1994. Then in 2000 during his time at Ford he was involved in commissioning the initial development of path-following – a technology which can accurately and repeatably control a vehicle at high speeds.

As part of AB Dynamics' continued global expansion, Pim will be based in Germany to promote further growth in this territory. His main responsibilities will be to provide assistance to customers in this region along with development of the AB Dynamics' product portfolio including hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) and simulation capabilities with their advanced Vehicle Driving Simulator (aVDS).
