Due to the growing number of cars with panoramic roofs, AB Dynamics has developed an add-on to their transducer strut – a device which enables measurement devices like GPS motion packs and accelerometers to be rapidly and securely mounted in a vehicle.
The transducer strut contains a spring pre-load mechanism which allows it to cope with accelerations, shock and vehicle body deflection. It is designed to have no vibration modes below 50Hz.
