Developed by DRI, the Soft Pedestrian 360 reimagines the VRU pedestrian target, and its design has been carefully considered to reduce lifespan cost, minimise damage to test vehicles and improve realism. By using the Soft Pedestrian 360 target, the automotive industry can more accurately test the safety of their vehicles and ensure they are future-proofed for increasingly demanding ADAS testing and development activities.
The Soft Pedestrian 360 is available in both adult and child variants, and compatible with the SPT and all our LaunchPad models, including the LaunchPad Spin.
Configurable to allow active articulation of the knee, hip, shoulder and neck, the Soft Pedestrian 360 has been designed with improved sensor perception and categorisation in mind. Its “step-in-sync” gait is automatically synchronised with the target’s position, speed and acceleration, avoiding the “Flintstoning” phenomenon.
Operators can enjoy increased testing flexibility, as the articulating arms and head can be swapped for static units or changed to increase the variety of testing. Whether conducting NCAP tests or development work, the Soft Pedestrian 360 is a cost-effective and efficient solution for ADAS testing.

Developed in response to the growing global popularity of scooters, the Soft Scooter 360’s design focuses on enhanced realism, durability, and vehicle protection. The Soft Scooter 360’s realistic shape, speed-matched rotating wheels and photorealistic vinyl skin increases recognition and detection by vehicle sensor systems, including camera, radar and lidar.
It is also compatible with C-NCAP 2021 protocols and meets the ISO/WD 19206-5 standard, making it a vital target for improving the safety of vulnerable powered two wheelers (PTW) riders now, and in the future.
Key to the design of the Soft Scooter 360 has been a focus on reducing the risk of damage to vehicles under test. To achieve this goal, the target’s structure is tubular surrounded by a lightweight foam and hard points have been minimised. The rider is also a separate piece to the scooter, reducing the potential for damage to test vehicles.

The Soft Motorcycle 360 from DRI is a durable and realistic surrogate motorcycle target supporting test speeds up to 80 km/h. This Euro NCAP approved target features rotating wheels and its realistic shape means that it is reliably recognised by vehicle sensor systems including cameras, radar and lidar.
With a modular design, its hollow moulded construction provides compliance when hit by a test vehicle and minimises the risk of damage. The target is also compatible with our LaunchPad 80 VRU platform. The combination of the Soft Motorcycle 360 and LaunchPad 80 offers a comprehensive solution for Euro NCAP motorcycle test scenarios ensuring accurate and repeatable results.

A lightweight, durable whole vehicle target, which forms the perfect ADAS and AV testing solution when combined with our GST platform.
Designed by DRI, the Soft Car 360 is a whole vehicle target that is durable, lightweight, and collapsible, so that it can withstand impacts without damaging the test vehicle or sustaining damage itself. Compatible with our GST platform, the structural design of the Soft Car 360 body results in unparalleled aerodynamic stability at speeds of up to 120 km/h, essential for ensuring that the target is reliably recognised by a test vehicles’ ADAS sensors.
Suitable for use with passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles alike, the Soft Car 360 separates into lightweight parts on impact to minimise the risk of damage to test vehicles. It can also be used as a static target when placed on a stationary stand. Available in hatchback, sedan and micro versions, the hatchback version of the Soft Car 360 has been adopted as the Global Vehicle Target (GVT) for Euro NCAP ADAS testing.
The Soft Car 360 is available in three configurations: the Euro NCAP approved Hatchback, a Sedan, and a Micro vehicle. All variants are compatible with our GST platform range.
